January Week 3

This week our media project appears to be finally coming together, all group member are now focused on what needs to be done to complete this project.

During Mondays lesson we decided that in order to be able to participate in a planned iMovie tutorial on Wednesdays lesson we needed some filming to edit during this lesson. Although it was not ideal and out real intention was to find a church to film in, we done a shoot trying many different camera angles of our title sequence using the up stairs administration block of out school. The resulting work turned out better than we though and gave us a real back up option as if the unfortunate case of us not being able to find a church to shoot in, we could use the church and make it work.

In Wednesdays lesson we had a tutorial on the basic of how to use iMovie, the program that would allow us to upload and edit our footage and title sequence. After completing the tutorial Sam proceeded to edit our initial footage as well as in cooperate the universal studios credit and our “star” production title. Also the Kennedy footage has been in cooperated into it and it’s looking very good. I was n charge of finding sound effects we needed for our title sequence, I used garage band and found explosion sounds for when the “iron curtain” credit appears. Also the sound of a heartbeat when the credits appear. These I feel will give a more professional and convincing effect to our film.

On Fridays lesson. Ryan was in charge of finding background sounds for our title sequence, Tolga’s job was to find the church and he proceeded to contact several churched. Sam proceeded to further edit out title sequence and I made some audience feedback forms involving what production company we should use. Either “star productions” or “nocturnal pictures.” This followed earlier audience feedback forms made by Tolga on what typography is right for our film, which is posted above.

This was a very productive week for our project and I feel as a team and a group we are now focused and will finish this project in good time and it will be of real quality.
